Charlo told ESPN, 'It was either going to be a big fight for me at 154 pounds, like against Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez, something big like that, or move up,' On March 11, WBC ranked Charlo number 2 ahead of David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens, who were ranked number 3 and 4 respectively.
Well thinking back to a supermegafight at middleweight level, this is what comes to my mind, Canelo vs Charlo;
as a super middleweight Benavidez vs. Canelo; in my opinion it would also be another supermegafight; however: the aforementioned could be good contenders to see Canelo actually as he could, unquestionably, dominate the two categories.
I think that these matches will not be made, or maybe if it will be made only one; if it will be made, because even in case of victory, but really we would be in both cases, with such probing matches, that we would not know the recovery time, so it would jam the Canelo machine, that I repeat is an incredible fighter, but it would need rest, and anyway it would run serious risks;
were considerations that needed to be made; after May 8 after BJS we will see what happens, for now praise Canelo;who we love to see, only we would like to see different matches, see Cenelo vs GGG.
someone mentioned a challenge to Artur the King Bertebiev, well I’ll sign that I’ll eat a coffee table if it happens, Artur can not be touched, in his category no one can stop him, one would be there, maybe, but he does the commentator,maybe him….
Arroyo wins against Rodriguez; and wins Arroyo iterim WBC junior fly; his opponent was warned a few days before the match, he is a man much smaller than him,he fights in the category below, now it may seem strange, but in those category even more you see the weight difference. Arroyo in fact has been cynical, ruthless and surgical, in less than five rounds, he brought home the result; we did not like it very much, you can not make a guy fight after a training started and finished for the match, with a smaller guy and far from the optimal shape, but the show must go on.

Jermell Charlo is as confident as they come. To the unified Jr middleweight champion, he is head and shoulders above the rest of his contemporaries. Ranking himself number one in the division isn’t solely based on just his belief, but mainly because of the level of opposition he has fought during his career, along with the three world titles currently draped around his tattooed shoulders.
At the moment, only the WBO belt alludes the Houston native. At some point though, Charlo believes he’ll get his hands on that one as well. While he has big plans to continue clearing out the division, Charlo realizes that he will never be afforded the opportunity to face pound for pound star Canelo Alvarez.
“I’ll f**k Caneloup,” said Charlo on his Instagram live. “F**k Canelo. Too bad he ain’t at 154. He ain’t coming this way.”
Had Charlo become the unified champion that he is today several years ago, his dream bout against Alvarez could have been a reality. Roughly six years ago, the pair campaigned at the Jr middleweight division. However, Alvarez was fixated with more established foes such as Shane Mosley, Erislandy Lara and of course, Floyd Mayweather.
The Mexican native last officially campaigned at 154 pounds in 2016, a knockout win over former titlist Liam Smith. Since then, Alvarez has fought at middleweight and light heavyweight before formally settling in at super middleweight.
Moving up a division or two is inevitable for Charlo. But with all but one of the world titles in his possession, the Houstonian is in no rush to start all over again.
“I got all of the belts here so if I go up weight, I lose my belts and my status. I worked too hard to get it.”

The realization that a showdown with Alvarez isn’t likely to happen doesn’t make the normally surly Charlo upset. Instead, the unified belt holder seems to find solace in what he believes would have been a highlight level win if they did ever meet.
“If Canelo was in my weight I would knock him the f**k out.”
